DEI committee vision

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are vital to the success and harmony of all people. We envision an environment where abilities and uniqueness are encouraged in an inclusive space. The Office of Medical Affairs and Governance (OMAG) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee will encourage the tenants of merit, acumen, and professionalism without judgment of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation.

Our mission is to promote, foster, support, and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion through engagement, discovery, and education for our staff, partners, and the broader UCSF Health System.

DEI committee goals & objectives

Our goals and objectives are summarized into four areas:

  • Listen: The committee will address OMAG's diversity needs.  Listen to and address, if necessary, any OMAG internal diversity concerns.
  • Educate: Develop an education and training program.
  • Train: The committee will spearhead an OMAG internal training module for our staff.
  • Recognize: Develop an awards program and potentially partner with UCSF’s Office of Diversity and Outreach (ODO) for UCSF awards and programs.
